At Herbs and Kettles, we are innovative and love experimenting. We wanted to make a chai blend that was caffeine-free, but still delicious, so after months of planning and trying multiple recipes, we created our Blue Chai tea. With single origin butterfly blue pea flower tea and chai spices, this caffeine-free chai is AMAZING! Enjoy it hot or as an iced chai latte.
It’s caffeine-free, comes in handy tea bags, and is quite different from the other chai you’ll see, but guaranteed to stop you from feeling blue. Steep the blue tea bags in near-boiling water for 3-5 minutes and enjoy as it is or with a dash of steamed milk (dairy or otherwise) and sugar.
Butterfly blue pea flower native to India and south east Asia is not only gives a gorgeous hue when steeped, but also is a powerful antioxidant and so excellent for relaxation, reducing inflammation, etc. Chai spices are great for digestion. Our Blue Chai is excellent as an after dinner drink or a convenient tea ritual before bedtime.
